This is just a simple update on what I’m currently reading and what I intend to read next (actually… not hopefully, but realistically).
I’m Currently Reading:
Red Queen (Red Queen #1) by Victoria Aveyard
This is a re-read. I read it two years ago and didn’t enjoy it, but I’m giving it another go for the sake of #TheReadingQuest. I’m taking a really long time to read it (almost 2 weeks?!?) but I’m enjoying it a lot more! Hooray!
What I’ll Be Reading Next:
Well, if I stick by my reading challenge’s goals, then I shall read The Giver (The Giver #1) by Lois Lowry or another “banned book”.

Moreover, I hope to read these author books that I looted from my library!
Read more about these TBRs in my posts: Make Me Read-a-thon 2017 & #TheReadingQuest Sign Up.
But before that, my TOP priority is to read three Advanced Reader’s Copies:
-
Heart of Mist (The Oremere Chronicles #1) by Helen Scheuerer
-
Summoner by S.D. Grimm
-
Cinderella, Necromancer by F.M. Boughan
Which will all feature from individual blog tours, in the first half of September. So get keen! I had a lot of fun interacting with the authors.
What I’m Most Excited to Read:
I kind of lost my mojo for my library books, I’ve had them for about 2 months now (eek!). I was keen for Geekerella, but now I’m most excited for the Heart of Mist ARC. It sounds like an amazing fantasy!
Were Any of these books Recommended to Me?
A lovely girl who works part time at the local library mentioned Winner’s Curse to me eons ago. The rest are just super-popular books on my GR feed, c. 2015. A few months ago, I went through all my TBR on Goodreads, and labelled everything that I could find at the library. I decided it was time to take action; and finally read these great (or hopefully, great) books!
If I could Abandon my TBR and Read Anything Right Now…
It would be The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare.
My mum gifted me the clockwork angel necklace for my birthday (last Tuesday), and ever since, I’ve felt like rereading for the 3rd or 4th time, one of my favourite series! Unfortunately, I have an agenda that I wish to stick by. But who knows? I’m not one for willpower…
