6 of My Favourite Book Heroes/Villains

This is a list of my 5 favourite good and bad guys!

A blog prompted me to write this post, but they were more talking about heroes in respect to romance novels. I decided to tweak it a little bit to suit my YA genre a little better. Just a quick warning: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS.

Best Anti-Heroes

Anti-heroes are always my favourite in a series, because they’re usually the least cliche or predictable in a YA book. My top two would have to be Damon from the Vampire Diaries (my reviews: one, two, three, four) or Cadence St Clair from We Were Liars (my review).

Best Villains

Tamlin the Tool from ACOMAF and ACOWAR was one of the most heartbreaking and complex Good-Turns To- Evil character. I don’t read many of those in books, particularly YA. Additionally, I think Sebastian Morgenstern from The Mortal Instruments was a great villain. Everybody hates his unforeseeable plans. He had some pretty twisted and sick tricks up his sleeve, and I applaud Cassie Clare for making him that unlikeable.

Favourite Hero

Rhysand. Fight me all you want. I think he’s great. Oh, and Magnus Bane.

I know this sort-of-did turn out to be more relative to romance plots, but I’m not sorry! 🙂

Who else do you picture as a terrific good/bad guy?

  1. hmmm I’m not sure. I really like when people turn bad though, like adelina from the young elites–her fall from grace was so interesting.

ooh and there are so many series here that I want to read!!! must catch up ahaha
