Hi friends! I’ve been MIA online recently because I just started attending a new uni. It’s been very exciting (and confusing), but I’m beginning to develop a routine, which means… blogging time! Yay!

Sorry that my posts are generic book memes…. It’s the best I can do for now.

My Current Read is…

This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab.

I have high expectations for Schwab. This is because there are so many BookTubers who rave about this author, and this duology. But so far, I’m finding it mediocre. In fact, it reads be for more… middle-grade readers, but I’m sure more graphic content will appear. I’m only 80 pages in. I’m not sure if I’m hoping for romance, but I’m certainly hoping the detail about monsters and the world is better described soon. Right now, it’s jumping all over the place and I can barely understand where August, one of the protags, stands in the midst of this Legend-like world.

I plan to read next:

Omg. Every single one of my library books, which are now overdue (and renewed… but only as of a week past their due date). I’m so bad at this.

When I visited the library all those weeks ago, I was in the mood for some high fantasy. However, reading This Savage Song has turned me away from fantasy. I am now thinking of reading Once and for All by Sarah Dessen. I want something light-hearted and fun, with a spritz of romance.

That’s all from me this week! Tell me in the comments your CR.

  1. I’m glad you liked The Cruel Prince. I recently read that one as well. It was pretty great! Right now I have too many books on my TBR but I’m close-ish to finishing one. THANK GOD.

    1. What a coincidence! I’m going to read Schythe (if I still feel like fantasy) next! I hope you enjoy it 🙂

This Savage Song is not very romantic–you won’t be finding Maas worthy romance there. It’s very action-based and stuff and more about the plot then the characters…

Once and for All was a cute read though so maybe you want to try that next!
