Book Beginnings #6

Hosted by Rose City Reader: every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.

I wasn’t sure how it happened. But Jesse Foster was kissing me.

This first couple of lines is from Save the Date by Morgan Matson. I know it sounds awfully romantic, but after this chapter, it’s completely family-oriented.

Write the beginning to your current read below.

  1. Those first two lines are super interesting! I have heard that there’s a big focus on family in this book, which I love. I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet but I might pick it up one day because I really liked Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone!

I just finished a book last night, but I’m starting a short story today – Sundays by Melissa Keil. The first line is: This is how it goes.

    I think that’s pretty intriguing!
