Okay WOW… I had no idea this book was going to:

  • Include IMAGES of historic surgery.
  • Be so graphic and gore-galorey.
  • Sweep me off my feet already.

I can tell that I like Maniscalo’s cool tone and style, right off the bat.

I look forward to reading her entire series, FINALLY!
