Ten Books on My Christmas List 2018 | Mailbox Monday #10

Mailbox Monday is a great way to think about all the exciting books coming your way. I usually get all of mine from the library, but I still have to wait for the latest releases to be delivered (at the library). Here’s what’s currently in transit/recently ordered. Also check out Vicky’s new thread, where she’ll be updating her Mailbox Monday.

I gave my mum my Christmas list – featuring 10 books I would love to see under the tree. Don’t worry– she asked me to compile the list. I’m not too much of a bratty child. Hopefully, I’ll see book deliveries in the next month or so (damn you, Britain-to-Australia postal service).

The Illuminae Files by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff:

That’s right. I’m asking for my favourites, and I want them in hardback. I will reread them immediately over the summer (because Christmas time in Australia is in the summer, FYI). Read my reviews of book one and book two by clicking the links (hint: I rated these both 5 stars!).

The Falling Kingdoms Series by Morgan Rhodes:

Although I’ve only read the first book, I just have to buy my own copies. I know I will devour these and I need to read them at a slow pace, and not to be rushed by my library due dates. Read my review of book one (5/5 stars) here.

One Lonely Standalone… In Other Lands:

You guessed it. I rated this baby 5/5 stars too. I only like to own my absolute favourites, and I prioritised which ones I want as hardbacks. Read my stellar review here, where the author even responded to my raving!

If you’d like to see what I got from the library, tune in this week for future library-themed posts!

What’s on your Christmas list? Do you like to buy just your favourites, or do you splurge?

  1. I love Christmas, though I’m probably biased because my birthday is eleven days before christmas, but I get more presents at Christmas, and I could see my grandparents on that day. I have the whole series of Falling Kingdoms, I haven’t read the 6 one yet, but they’re still really good. Illuminae has been my favorite trilogy out of the whole year
