Even though many of you guys are not Australian, I think this is a great step for all of the community. If you’re not Aussie; feel free to join in as well! Encourage all to read, even just for an hour. No distractions, just pure bliss!
The Australian Reading Hour is an important annual campaign encouraging Australians of all ages to read. The premise is simple – pick up a book at any time of the day or night and read for an hour. The 2017 campaign promises to be bigger and better, by building on the success of previous years. Run by ALIA’s Australian Public Library Alliance between 2012 and 2016; 2017’s Australian Reading Hour is supported by the Australian Library and Information Association, the Australian Society of Authors, the Australian Publishers Association, the Australian Booksellers Association, and the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund.
